The third one down, "SethGoingParty-47", is fantastic. I love the composition, and your sparing use of the light in that shot, which left the shadows on the left side of his face and let them bleed into the shadowy background, really made the shot work. Keep it up!

Hi Milan!

Thanks for your feedback and your awesome suggestions! I am familiar with Strobist and I am also really into podcasts. I'm going to for sure add "Top Floor".

Congrats to you on your successes. Your work is very inspiring. I'd love to keep in touch and get your take on the beginnings of the stock business.

Best!

Jimmy,

Talk about hitting the ground running! You are off to a great start. Everyone thinks their kid is amazingly cute, but yours truly is, plus he seems to be a natural model. Combine that with your eye for a good photo (clearly demonstrated) and your wife's makeup talents, and you are on your way. Now comes the ton of hard work part, but you knew that...

If you haven't yet, check out strobist.com for the equivalent of a college degree on using your flashes, and linda.com and kelbytraining.com are great ways to learn to use your software.

There's a wealth of podcasts to listen to on photography, if you're into podcasts. (I am.) But I'm starting to think these mostly fuel my gear lust, and don't do a lot to inspire or teach me. One of the exceptions is Chris Marquardt's "Tips from the Top Floor" http://www.tipsfromthetopfloor.com/ - There's a lot anyone can learn from Chris.

Sorry for writing a novel here, but I was really impressed with what I saw here, and wanted to chime in.

Best of luck to you!
